How To Obtain
Your Oregon Real Estate License
In order to obtain an Oregon Real Estate License you must meet the following
requirements:
- Complete 150 hours of study in these areas:
- 30 hours in Real Estate Law
- 30 hours in Real Estate Finance
- 30 hours in Real Estate Practice
- 15 hours in Contracts
- 15 hours in Agency
- 20 hours in Real Estate Brokerage
Computer-based Testing
Test will be taken in Wilsonville, four days a week Tuesday through
Saturday - Eugene and Medford three days a week - Baker City and Bend two days
a week.
Some testing centers will be offering evening sessions. All centers will be
open on Saturdays.
Call the Real Estate Agency to register for the exam. You will receive an
eligibility letter together with directions to the testing site. You may sit
for the exam anytime within one year of receiving the eligibility letter from
the Real Estate Agency.
The test is in two sections - National and State
National is 150 questions with a time allotment of three hours.
State is 50 questions with a time allotment of two hours.
- Completed background check
Fee for a background check is $40 and will be done by the state police.
Background checks are required for anyone who applies for a license for the
first time or who must re-qualify for a license because of an Oregon license
expired for longer than one year.

education to make them successful quickly do they can see a value in their new
career in the least amount of time.
Some companies may tell you they will refund your tuition if you affiliate
with their company. While that is a pleasant thought, we at Prudential Real
Estate Professionals would like to give you the capability of earning four (4)
times that amount with a sale within the first couple months of activating
your license. You do the math!
